Breakfast was excellent and there was no pressure to vacate the table etc which was lovely. Spa facilities were good. Bedroom was beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive. Although I didn’t have my dog it’s a lovely dog friendly hotel. The grounds are amazing.

Absolutely stunning property Fantastic location Stunning grounds around the hotel suitable for walks Brilliant restaurants/pubs nearby in maynooth can recommend O’Neills bar for craic and food Can’t wait to go back All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional but we felt the receptionist Martyna was exceptionally helpful

Arrival was excellent - very attentive and pleasant staff in concierge and reception. Room was nice (nothing outstanding but what I expected). Food in Kathleens Kitchen and The Carriage House was excellent.

Very relaxing , beautiful views & the staff were phenomenal , especially sally Anna Morgan who continued to go the extra mile for us. Breakfast in Kathleen's Kitchen was amazing.

Overall, our stay was fabulous. The spa, treatments, bedrooms, walks, restaurants, golf and facilities were all amazing. I also noted that our check in was particularly great, and the lady was so helpful and friendly!

Loved the beds, pillows and rooms were lovely. I had a king size room with a balcony. I was bummed the balcony wasn't covered and it rained most of the time so I couldn't enjoy it the way I prefer. The property was beautiful with much to explore and see around it.

The location and hotel itself was stunning, ideal for the kind of break we were looking to achieve, we got acquainted with one of the staff members Jack, little did we know he would be the most valuable part of our stay, he was helpful, informative, charming, caring and most of all you could tell he loved his job and it showed..

We stayed at Carton House for two nights for our 30th wedding anniversary and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. There are lots of staff around to help and everyone we interacted with was friendly and attentive, in a relaxed and unfussy manner. We felt very well looked after (special thanks to Ann). Rooms are generous in size and have everything you need. We ate dinner in the Carriage House and Kathleen’s Kitchen and both were excellent. High quality local ingredients and delicious dishes from the chefs, all served with a smile and just the right amount of friendly chat. Our anniversary was acknowledged on several occasions and made our stay feel a little more special. Spa treatments are excellent quality also but make sure to book well in advance if you need a specific time. Finally, if you have a chance to take the history tour with Brian then go for it. The great house of the Dukes of Leinster is brought to life by Brian and a real treat. Highly recommended.

Loved the location we had a relaxing time here. Brian gave us a tour around the old house which was amazing and so informative. Well worth doing the tour it leaves from reception at 10 every morning. Very close to Maynooth which was a lovely place to visit and dine. Breakfast was my favourite in Kathleen's kitchen in the hotel,it was so varied and delicious.
